THE PROJECT
The OpenMCX Project
OpenMCX gives researchers, academic teams and enterprises an open foundation to study, extend and integrate mission critical communications. It brings MCPTT, MCData and MCVideo servers and clients together as a baseline for public safety communications.
Kamailio provides the SIP engine for registration and routing. The underlying 4G and 5G networks are powered by open-source projects, mainly OpenAirInterface, Open5GS and srsRAN. The OpenMCX stack supplies the services and clients, while O&M tooling is being developed to automate provisioning and support operational control.
Human architects lead the technical decisions. AI agents build the implementation and support its tests and documentation.
